In honor of my dear mother who taught me to love life, adventure, and to not steal gum from Alpha Beta (grocery store). But, most of all, she taught me that it is better to think about others than to think about oneself.
I sure do miss her. I wish I could tell her one more time how much I loved her.

Found you through Christy's blog. Very fun. "The best thing my mother ever taught me was that it's okay to be spunky and play pranks on your friends!"
ReplyDelete"If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all." Obviously I'm not very good at that one! She also taught me not to complain b/c she rarely, if ever, has complained...in all her years.:)
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah- I'm Jill's sister, Amy. She told me about your shop and I LOVE everything!!! "The best thing my mom ever taught me was (essentially) to get over it!" When things happen that you don't like, pick yourself up and move on. No pity pot-sitting at our house! Good luck with your shop, and I may be placing an order soon....!
ReplyDeleteThe best thing my mom ever taught my was to "kill them with kindness". If someone was ever mean to me at school, I would say "I love your shirt" or "your hair looks nice" and it would always leave them speachless and left me with a smile.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing my mother ever taught me was to love learning. Whenever I'd ask her something she didn't know she'd always pull out the encyclopedia's-or go research it until she had an answer. I find myself doing the same thing now-just with wikipedia instead (you know it's always accurate ;)
ReplyDeletethe best thing my mother ever taught me.... was /is compassion... not with her words but her actions. Love your store... I still need to make an order!!!

ReplyDeleteThe best thing my mother ever taught me was how to be a good mom. While growing up, my brother and I were put first. She loved us unconditionally and supported us at all times. She showed me the true meaning of motherhood. As a mom, I do my best to live up to the woman my mom is.
ReplyDelete"... is to be unselfish as a mother." she taught me this through her actions - buying us shoes/clothes when we needed them, but having to get by with less herself, driving us to/from activities (x6), etc.
